ExperienceI earned my bachelor's degree in History at Columbia University and followed that up by earning two separate master's degrees in Secondary Math and Special Education. Following college, I spent five years working as a teacher . I currently teach Math and English at the sixth-grade level but have worked with students from third grade all the way up through high school. In my current position, I also get to tutor individuals in Writing and Math and preparing them for the SSATs. One of my goals as a teacher is to help every student I work with gain confidence in their abilities. I think each student is capable of mastering the material if they are given the proper resources and have teachers who believe in them. In addition to the subjects I have mentioned, I am also comfortable working with students in all kinds of fields, from organizational and study skills to Spanish and Social Studies. I can also assist them as they prepare for any kind of standardized tests they need help with. When I am not tutoring or in the classroom, I enjoy spending my time reading, running, and hanging out with my family.
